Ford F-150 and Mustang Parts Stolen: Four Arrested, Including Ex-Ford Employee in Michigan Theft Case
In a shocking turn of events, a former Ford employee and three accomplices have been arrested for allegedly stealing millions of dollars’ worth of car parts from Ford factories in Michigan. According to the Dearborn Police Department, the arrests were made on May 6 following a months-long investigation in collaboration with Ford Motor Company’s global security team. The suspects allegedly removed brand-new Ford parts directly from assembly lines at the Dearborn, Flat Rock, and Wayne plants—facilities responsible for producing the Ford F-150, Mustang, Ranger, and Bronco. Once stolen, the parts were transported to third-party auto shops in Detroit, where they were allegedly stored before being listed and sold on eBay.

Authorities executed search warrants at two Detroit businesses and two private residences linked to the suspects. According to Police Chief Issa Shahin, one of the searched shops was packed from floor to ceiling with brand-new auto parts, including hoods, bumpers, headlights, and taillights—all believed to be stolen from Ford. The four suspects remain in police custody as they await official charges, which could include grand theft, criminal enterprise, and racketeering.
