Hybrid Powertrain: Performance Meets Efficiency
The 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series comes equipped with a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine, seamlessly paired with a single electric motor, delivering an astonishing 457 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This makes it the most potent Land Cruiser to date, matching even the high-end Lexus LX700h in terms of sheer muscle.

Unlike conventional plug-in hybrids, this self-charging model utilizes regenerative braking and engine synergy, eliminating the need for external charging. With power distributed to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission, the new hybrid system promises superior throttle response and optimized efficiency, even on the roughest terrains.

Sleek New Design Tweaks
On the exterior, Toyota has introduced subtle design refinements, including an updated lower front bumper and a redesigned intake system for the VXR trim. A “457 TT” badge on the sides and an HEV emblem on the tailgate distinguish it from its gasoline counterparts.

Inside the cabin, drivers will find a 12.3-inch infotainment display, an advanced digital instrument cluster with hybrid-specific graphics, and an upgraded cargo area with a power outlet, adding convenience to rugged utility.

Availability and Expected US Market Entry
The hybrid Land Cruiser 300 is currently available for order in the Middle East, with pricing starting at $106,200 for the VXR trim and $111,600 for the GR Sport variant. It is also confirmed for launch in Australia by 2026, sparking speculation that Toyota may introduce it to the US market in the near future.

In the U.S., the 2024 Land Cruiser 250 Series arrived with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mild-hybrid setup, generating 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Though Toyota has not announced plans to bring the Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid stateside, its presence in international markets suggests growing interest in electrification for large SUVs.
