Renault has officially pulled the wraps off its newest five-seater SUV—the Renault Boreal—which marks a significant step in the brand’s international expansion. Designed to cater to 71 non-European markets, including Brazil, Turkey, and Latin America, the Boreal is poised to become a compelling choice for buyers seeking style, performance, and spaciousness.

Renault Boreal Exterior
The Boreal design draws inspiration from Renault’s Niagara Concept and the Symbioz SUV. At the front, it has a sculpted hood and LED lights integrated into the bumper, giving it a modern feel. The side profile resembles a stretched version of the Duster, with 19-inch diamond-cut wheels and sturdy cladding. At the back, a sleek spoiler and horizontal tail-lights add a touch of elegance. The SUV features Renault’s new 2D diamond logo, which is illuminated and reflected in various design elements.

Engine and Performance
Renault outfits the Boreal with a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine that was developed with Mercedes-Benz. It comes with both petrol and flex-fuel options. The flex-fuel version delivers 163 hp and 270 Nm of torque. The petrol models produce between 138 and 156 hp and have 240Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.26 seconds. The Boreal offers four drive modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, and MySense, allowing drivers to choose how they want the car to perform.

The car is built on Renault’s flexible CMF platform. It measures 4,556 mm in length, 1,841 mm wide, and 1,650 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,702 mm, providing more space inside than the Duster.
