In a groundbreaking feat that’s turning heads in the automotive world, Lucid Motors has set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the longest journey by an electric car on a single charge. Covering a staggering 1,205 kilometers (749 miles) between St. Moritz, Switzerland, and Munich, Germany, the Lucid Air Grand Touring is pushing the limits of range, efficiency, and innovation in EV design.
This record-smashing journey eclipses the previous benchmark of 1,045 kilometers by an impressive 160 kilometers, reaffirming Lucid’s dominance in electric powertrain engineering. Traversing alpine roads, highways, and rural stretches, the journey proved the car’s endurance across varied terrains and driving conditions.

Eric Bach, Lucid’s SVP of Product and Chief Engineer, states that the company’s success highlights its “technological edge.” Lucid combines ultra-high voltage architecture, advanced battery management systems, and top-level vehicle efficiency. It also uses proprietary drive units. These innovations help Lucid cars go further on each kilowatt-hour than any other vehicle in their class.

Lucid Air Grand Touring Specs
The Lucid Air Grand Touring offers an impressive WLTP range of 960 km on a full charge. It consumes about 13.5 kWh to travel 100 km, making it efficient for its size. The car packs 831 Hp of power, allowing it to reach a top speed of 270 km/h. It can add 400 km of range in just 16 minutes with fast charging.
The vehicle comfortably seats up to five passengers. Its sleek, aerodynamic shape combined with elegant interiors creates a mix of luxury and comfort. This design not only looks good but also pushes the limits of energy-efficient driving.
