An Electrified Beast Built for the Mountain
Ford’s latest hill climb racer pushes boundaries with a 1,421-horsepower setup powered by three electric motors. Compared to its predecessors—the SuperTruck and SuperVan, both producing 1,400 horsepower—this Mach-E boasts an extra edge in performance.
Equipped with a 50.0-kilowatt-hour battery pack and running at 799V, the Mach-E manages to shed 260 pounds from last year’s model, enhancing its agility on Pikes Peak’s treacherous turns. Additionally, its 710-kilowatt regenerative braking system optimizes energy recovery, proving that Ford is leveraging cutting-edge tech for endurance and efficiency.

Aerodynamics and Grip: A Downforce Monster
One of the standout features of this Mach-E racer is its extreme aerodynamics. The redesigned aero kit generates 6,900 pounds of downforce at 150 mph, peaking at 12,000 pounds at 200 mph—figures that surpass Ford’s previous Pikes Peak contenders.
To ensure maximum grip, Ford has equipped the Mach-E with forged magnesium wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires, providing the traction needed for sharp hairpins and sudden elevation shifts. Additionally, carbon brakes play a crucial role in maintaining control while descending the mountain’s punishing slopes.
