Striking New Design with Track-Ready Elements

The GR Sport trim gives the RAV4 a tougher and more exciting look. The front bumper has a big grille with large side vents. A small chin spoiler helps shape the car’s aerodynamics. A black roof combined with bright Supersonic Red paint makes it stand out. The overall design looks more aggressive and ready to impress.

At the rear, the athletic spoiler and special badging reinforce its sporty persona. The gloss-black wheel arch trim, red brake calipers, and 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in wide-tread summer tires add both flair and performance.

Inside the Cabin: A Sporty Driving Experience

Inside, the Ultrasuede perforated seats, trimmed with Toyota’s premium SofTex material, provide an upscale yet sporty feel. The GR-branded steering wheel, paddle shifters, and aluminum pedals cater to driving enthusiasts seeking more engagement behind the wheel.

Adding to its uniqueness, the GR Sport trim sits lower than other RAV4 variants—approximately six-tenths of an inch closer to the ground, improving aerodynamics and stability during spirited drives.

More Power, Greater Efficiency

The GR Sport trim now has a plug-in hybrid engine that produces 320 horsepower, a clear rise from the previous model. The 2.5-liter inline-four engine, paired with two electric motors, ensures instant acceleration. Toyota has also introduced silicon-carbide semiconductors, optimizing efficiency while trimming excess bulk from the front drive unit.

Perhaps most exciting is the extended electric range—Toyota estimates up to 50 miles of EV-only driving, compared to the previous model’s 42 miles. However, the GR Sport variant lacks DC fast-charging, unlike the XSE and Woodland trims.

Sharper Handling for Performance Enthusiasts

The GR Sport isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s engineered for better handling. Toyota has strengthened the chassis, improved steering precision, and introduced a specific GR-tuned suspension. These refinements aim to make the GR Sport feel more responsive and engaging on winding roads.

With sharp aesthetics, a refined driving experience, and an improved PHEV powertrain, the Toyota RAV4 GR Sport aims to bring motorsports excitement to the compact SUV segment. Whether for daily commutes or spirited drives, this latest addition reinforces Toyota’s commitment to innovation and performance.
