Toyota has unveiled the 2026 RAV4 GR Sport, marking an exciting evolution in its lineup. The latest plug-in hybrid variant not only boasts enhanced power but also adopts an aggressive motorsports-inspired design, courtesy of Gazoo Racing’s engineering prowess. The 2026 Toyota RAV4 GR Sport will arrive at dealerships later this year. Its price has not been officially announced yet.

Striking New Design with Track-Ready Elements
The GR Sport trim gives the RAV4 a tougher and more exciting look. The front bumper has a big grille with large side vents. A small chin spoiler helps shape the car’s aerodynamics. The GR Sport trim now has a plug-in hybrid engine that produces 320 horsepower, a clear rise from the previous model. The 2.5-liter inline-four engine, paired with two electric motors, ensures instant acceleration. Toyota has also introduced silicon-carbide semiconductors, optimizing efficiency while trimming excess bulk from the front drive unit.
Perhaps most exciting is the extended electric range—Toyota estimates up to 50 miles of EV-only driving, compared to the previous model’s 42 miles. However, the GR Sport variant lacks DC fast-charging, unlike the XSE and Woodland trims.
