Alpine has unveiled its first-ever electric rally car, the A290 Rallye, marking a significant milestone in its 70-year motorsport journey. Engineered for customer racing and debuting ahead of the Rallye Rouergue Rodez Aveyron Occitanie, this cutting-edge vehicle offers a seamless blend of high-performance DNA and sustainable innovation.
Crafted at the Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé facility, the A290 Rallye embraces Alpine’s legendary racing spirit while embracing a carbon-neutral future. It aims to democratize rally racing, inviting enthusiasts and professionals alike to join an electrified motorsport revolution.

Powertrain & Performance
The Alpine A290 Rallye features a 220-horsepower electric motor, providing quick acceleration. It delivers 300 Nm of torque, ensuring good pulling power. The battery has a 52 kWh capacity and runs on 400V DC. Power is sent through a reduction gearbox paired with a ZF-type limited-slip differential.
Braking is handled with six-piston calipers at the front and a single-piston caliper at the rear, plus a hydraulic handbrake for sharp stops. The rally car features ALP Racing Suspension for improved handling on rough tracks. It uses Michelin Pilot Sport A tires in an 18-inch EVO Corse size to grip the road well.

Designed to meet FIA regulations, the car features Sabelt bucket seats, a welded roll cage, and race-type ABS for top-tier safety and control. It delivers blistering performance without compromising on its eco-conscious promise.

Whether it’s one-make cups or open competitions, the A290 Rallye is built for versatility. Alpine will host a single-rally challenge in France later this year, bringing together early adopters for a thrilling showdown. The brand also plans to create a supportive Alpine-themed infrastructure, complete with eco-friendly recharging technologies.
