2026 BMW M2 Racing Debuts With Surprising Four-Cylinder Turbo Power
BMW Motorrad has unveiled the much-anticipated 2026 BMW M2 Racing, a sleek upgrade of its motorsport marvel. Designed to cater to enthusiasts craving speed and precision, the M2 Racing is set to hit the racetrack with a twist—a downsized engine that raises eyebrows but ensures unmatched agility and performance.
Unlike its predecessors—the M235i Racing, M240i Racing, and M2 CS Racing, all of which boast six-cylinder engines—the 2026 BMW M2 Racing steps onto the stage powered by the B48 inline-four turbo engine. This decision may surprise traditionalists, as it lacks the signature S58 twin-turbocharged I6 from the road-going M2 Coupe. Yet, this move marks a deliberate focus on optimizing handling and race-ready specifications.
