Powertrain & Performance
Gone are the days when muscle cars were defined by pure gasoline brute force. The ZR1X merges the best of both worlds: the proven ferocity of Chevy’s twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 engine and a revamped version of the E-Ray’s electric motor setup. This hybrid combo cranks out 1064 hp from the V8 and another 186 hp from the front-mounted e-motor, creating a supercar with brains, brawn, and battery.

Chevy claims the ZR1X will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.0 seconds and conquer the quarter-mile in fewer than 9.0 seconds—a feat that pushes the boundaries of what we expect from street-legal performance. The hybrid powertrain’s electric front axle stays engaged until 160 mph, enhancing grip and acceleration, while the Charge+ and push-to-pass features unleash instant surges of power right from the steering wheel.

Engineered for the Track—and Beyond
More than a straight-line warrior, the ZR1X is equally adept in the corners. Chevrolet has overhauled the eAWD chassis controls, enabling the car to maintain 1.0 g of both longitudinal and lateral acceleration—a balance that delivers true racetrack composure.

Braking performance has also improved, with the new J59 carbon ceramic braking package featuring 10-piston front and 6-piston rear calipers, mated to massive 16.5-inch rotors. Expect up to 1.9 g of deceleration from triple-digit speeds.

Corvette ZR1X Hybrid Design and Tech Features
From a design perspective, the ZR1X wears aggression like armor. Opting for the ZTK Performance Package adds Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, a track-tuned suspension, and a Carbon Aero kit that includes a towering rear wing and underbody strakes. Inside, the driver-focused cockpit sports a futuristic three-screen layout: a 14-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.7-inch infotainment display, and a 6.6-inch performance screen for PTM and head-up display controls.

The Price of Power
While Chevy hasn’t disclosed an official MSRP, the ZR1X is expected to break the $250,000 barrier. For some, that may challenge the value proposition of what has long been “America’s sports car,” but for those seeking hypercar-level performance at a fraction of European price tags, it’s hard to overlook what the ZR1X brings to the table.
