For US consumers looking for a reliable yet bold three-row SUV, here’s everything to know about Dodge’s newest release.

The 2026 Dodge Durango will hit dealerships in the third quarter of 2025, with pricing starting at $40,490 for the base Durango GT model. Dodge previously adjusted pricing for the 2025 model, and this year, the pricing structure remains unchanged despite a recent increase in destination charges.

What’s New in the 2026 Dodge Durango?

While the current-generation Durango has been around since 2011, the 2026 model introduces three new wheel designs and a fresh Blacktop Redline Package—available exclusively for the V-8-powered Durango R/T. This package builds upon the existing Blacktop Package, adding aggressive styling elements, including front and rear SRT spoilers, six-occupant seating, and black leather with red accent stitching.

Dodge now offers the Tow N Go Package across all Durango R/T models, not just the R/T 20th Anniversary trim. This package costs $5,990 and provides several key upgrades. It features an improved braking system, adaptive dampers for a smoother ride, and a limited-slip rear differential for better traction. The steering is tuned by SRT for enhanced handling.

The package also includes widebody fender flares for a more aggressive look and a performance exhaust system for better sound and performance. One surprise is that Dodge has yet to retire its supercharged SRT Hellcat V-8—details about the 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will be revealed later in 2025.

Powertrain & Fuel Efficiency

The Durango sticks with traditional gasoline engines instead of downsized turbocharged or hybrid options used by many rivals. It offers two main trims: the Durango GT and the Durango R/T. The GT has a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

The R/T features a 5.7-liter V-8 engine that delivers 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Both models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The GT comes with rear-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is optional. The R/T has standard all-wheel drive.

Fuel economy ratings for the 2025 model remain the same. The GT RWD gets 18 miles per gallon in the city, 25 highway, and 20 combined. The GT AWD improves slightly with 17 city, 24 highway, and 20 combined mpg. The R/T AWD offers 14 city, 22 highway, and 17 miles per gallon combined. Official EPA ratings for the 2026 model will be shared soon.
