Performance & Engineering
The bike is powered by a small 776cm³ parallel twin engine that is liquid-cooled. It’s based on the engine from the well-known GSX-8S/R series. It delivers 81.8 horsepower and 78 Nm of torque. The bike has a six-speed gear shift with quickshifter. It scores 23.8 km per liter according to WMTC standards. It also produces low CO₂ emissions, just 99 grams per kilometer.
The steel frame is high in rigidity, giving the bike strong stability and a smooth ride. A lightweight aluminum swingarm helps improve handling and comfort. The front suspension features KYB USD forks, while the rear has a single mono-shock. Both are paired with Nissin brakes and dual-channel ABS for safety. The tires are Dunlop RoadSport 2 mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels. The GSX-8T weighs 201 kg, and the GSX-8TT tips the scales at 203 kg.
