2026 Chevy Silverado EV: Affordable Entry, Rugged Trail Boss, and More Choices

The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV lineup is expanding, bringing new trim levels, improved features, and more battery options. Whether you’re looking for a budget-friendly work truck or a capable off-road beast, Chevy has something for every electric truck enthusiast. Here’s what’s new.

Chevy is making its Silverado EV more accessible. The entry-level Work Truck (WT) now starts at $54,895, which is $2,200 less than last year’s model. This price includes the Standard battery, offering an EPA-estimated 286 miles of range. If you need extra mileage, you can opt for the Extended battery (424 miles) or the Max battery (493 miles), with prices ranging up to $76,295.

The LT trim is a step up in comfort and performance, now starting at $62,995—a significant $9,200 price drop compared to last year’s lowest LT trim. The base LT comes with a Standard battery (283 miles of range) and delivers between 605–760 horsepower, depending on the battery pack. The Extended and Max battery packs raise the range to 410 miles and 478 miles, respectively.

Chevy Drops RST, Adds Trail Boss Off-Road Trim

The RST trim has been discontinued, but the highly anticipated Trail Boss is finally here. This version is built for off-road fans and offers tough upgrades. It features a 2-inch lift to improve ground clearance. The Silverado EV Trail Boss also comes with 35-inch all-terrain tires mounted on stylish 18-inch wheels. For recovery needs, it has red front tow hooks that stand out.

The vehicle features a unique front-end design to improve approach angles. It has Trail Boss exterior badges and a special interior trim package. Off-road handling at low speeds is enhanced with Terrain mode. Sidewinder mode allows diagonal movement at slow speeds, a feature seen before on the RST. Super Cruise now supports towing, making hands-free driving easier when hauling loads.

The Multi-Flex Midgate increases cargo options. WOW (Wide Open Watts) mode provides quick bursts of high performance for acceleration. Despite its aggressive off-road setup, range estimates remain competitive. The Trail Boss with the Extended battery maintains an EPA-rated 410 miles, while the Max battery version offers 478 miles.

The Chevrolet Silverado EV Trail Boss with the extended battery starts at $72,095. The Max battery version begins at $88,695. Chevrolet offers three new colors to keep the look fresh: White Sands, Polar White Tricoat, and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic. Customers now have more options for tech and color choices.

The Silverado EV also gets updates to its Super Cruise hands-free driving system, now integrated with Google Maps. Meanwhile, adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist have been improved. Expect the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV lineup to arrive at dealerships in the coming months.
